Delivery, pickup, and dump fees are included in every rental. A 3% fee applies to credit cards, and cash, check, Zelle, or Venmo avoids it.
We are not set up for heavy hauling, so large quantities of dirt, rock, or concrete are not a fit. A few bricks or a stack of tile is no problem.
Are there any extra fees?
Most Carson City customers never pay extra. Delivery, pickup, and dump fees are already included. These are the only charges that can get added:
Longer rentals: after 7 days, $25 per day or $150 per week.
Overweight loads: each container includes 2 tons (4,000 lbs). Extra weight is $40 per ton, up to a 5 ton maximum. That $40 is lower than our Reno and Sparks rate because the Carson City landfill charges us less.
Special items: TVs are $20 each. Refrigerators, AC units, and anything else with Freon are $60 each.
Hazardous waste: not accepted. Paint, batteries, gas, and oil have to be handled separately, and we are happy to point you to the right place.
How long can I have the rental?
Every dumpster rental includes 7 days. If you need more time, just let us know. Extra days are $25 each, or $150 for a full week. We’re flexible and can extend your roll-off rental to match your project.
What can't go in the dumpster?
Two categories, and neither is complicated.
Heavy material. Small amounts of concrete, rock, dirt, and gravel are fine, so a few bricks or a stack of tile is no problem. A yard or more is where it becomes an issue, because a single yard weighs close to a ton on its own. Small roofing tear offs and tree branches or rounds are welcome.
Hazardous items. Anything corrosive, explosive, flammable, or poisonous. The four we see most are wet paint, car batteries, gas, and oil.

What is the weight limit?
Each Carson City container includes 2 tons, which is 4,000 lbs, and that covers most cleanouts. Past that it is $40 per additional ton, up to a 5 ton maximum.
That $40 is worth noticing. We charge $70 a ton in Reno and Sparks, and only $40 here, because the Carson City landfill charges us less than Lockwood does. So if your load is going to run heavy, Carson City is the cheaper side of the hill to do it on.
